KEY CANDIDATES' ACCOMPLISHMENTS
THEY DON'T KICK THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD.
THEY GET THINGS DONE FOR RESIDENTS.
Responsible Budgets, Smarter Revenue
We delivered balanced, transparent budgets built on long-term planning, not short-term fixes. We updated fee schedules that hadn't been touched in years, bringing in new revenue without leaning harder on property taxes.
Thoughtfully Addressed Affordable Housing
We successfully defended our developable land assessment versus Fair Share Housing's blanket, statewide challenge. Fair Share Housing and developers sued every municipality in NJ to force denser development. Out of more than 400 municipalities, Chatham Township was one of only a handful to win.
Invested in Public Safety
We commissioned replacements for our two front-line fire trucks that were past their useful life. We also added personnel to the Police Department to keep response times strong as the Township grows.
Upgraded Parks and Playgrounds
We provided Mountainview, Nash, Esternay and Colony Pool with real upgrades this term, not just paint and mulch. Families now have safer, better equipment to use and enjoy.
Strengthened Township Services
We committed to financially support our library in conjunction with state funding to ensure infrastructure needs are met. We budgeted to add staff to the Construction Department after seeing increased activity.
Showed Up
We responded to 50+ resident calls and emails personally after the July 3rd storm. With temps hitting 100 degrees, we were at Colony Pool to make sure it opened on time. Throughout the Township we set up charging stations, handed out coffee and talked with residents face to face. We engaged with the Governor's office and other agencies to advocate for Township residents' needs and safety.
